You’re probably reading this because you are a student in my Santa Ana College English class — welcome to our English class blog!
We will be using this blog for journal style writing, responding to the class text, and exchanging ideas. I prefer assigning the informal writing activities in a digital format (the blog) because it entails a variety of useful skills – being comfortable with computers, the internet, digital writing, social media, etc. Also, there’s something about putting work online that inspires students to pay special attention to revising and editing, and therefore, they end up producing better writing.
About me: I’ve been teaching at Santa Ana College for a few years, and I also teach at Chapman University and California State University – Long Beach. I have an MFA in Writing and MA in English from Chapman and a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Utah.
I love reading, writing, and teaching. And, it’s probably clear by now, but I also love animals!
